About me

Shaojun Chen is an illustrator, comic artist, and storyteller from China, currently based in Boston, MA. She received her BFA in Communications Design (Illustration) from Pratt Institute and is currently pursuing an MFA in Visual Narrative at Boston University. Drawing inspiration from the people closest to her, Shaojun creates stories that explore human connection in its many forms: friendship, love, family, and personal passion. Her work often centers on intimate moments, using them as entry points to emotions such as longing, grief, tenderness, and joy.
